Goats Of Doom - Shiva
Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the latest album from Finnish Black Metal Band Goats Of Doom.
Goats Of Doom's latest album is called Shiva it was released on May 31st 2021. Shiva is a 7 track album with a duration time of around 42 minutes.
I was surprised by this one because they decided to experiment with something different on this album and I gotta say it was pretty poor choice. They added clear vocals , now as you know I HATE clear vocals in Black Metal because it does not belong in Black Metal , clear vocals belong in pussy metal such as Metalcore or Nu - Metal so I was not a fan of the clear vocals.
Now I'm all for bands wanting to experiment and diversify their sound but not completely change it.
In Goats Of Dooms previous albums they had little to no clear vocals at all.
So I gotta say their last album was much better then this one , however on a more positive note I do gotta say their are some sweet ass guitar parts in their and the classic Blasterbation Drum Beat. They did go with a more melodic type sound with this album.
The screaming vocals sound just as raspy and pure fucking evil as they do on their previous album so that also love.
The first 4 tracks are just an absolute cluster fuck of a mess. I was confused as to what direction they were going with the first 4 tracks.
However their are three standout tracks for me on this album which are the last three tracks.

5. Korjuu
6. Rotat
7. Shiva
Overall I am pleased to that their are more postives then negatives about this album but it is still far from their best.
