Odal - Welten Mutter

Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the latest album by German Pagan Black Metal Band Odal. 

Odal are a two piece  band hailing from Thuringia, Germany. Odal have been active as a band since 1999 to Present. 

Odal's lyrical theme are based around Paganism , Nature , Blood , Anger and sorrow. 

Welten Mutter is their latest album and it was released on April 23rd 2021. Welten Mutter is a 7 track album with a duration of around 47 minutes 26 seconds. 

Odal are not your typical Pagan Black Metal Band though.  unlike most pagan black metal bands Odal do not have any folk elements in their music particularly on this album. 

Welten Mutter has a production value somewhere on the midrange  however the vocals are mixed to deliberately sound more raw which I absolutely love  
Melodic guitar scales and blast beat drums add to this album so much substance. 

I normally would write the names of the standout tracks but on this occasion because they are all written in German ill just list the standout tracks in Number form.

I would recommend this album to anyone who likes their black metal a little lower in production and vocals mixed to sound like raw black metal vocals.

Great German black metal. 
Welten Mutter is certainly a must listen for 2021.
