Thron - Pilgrim

Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the latest album from German Black Metal band Thron. 

Thron hail from Germany. Their latest album Pilgrim is absolutely brilliant I have nothing but good things to say about this album. The track list is as follows :

 5. Epitome

 7. The valley of the blind
 8. Den of iniquity 
 9. Into disarray 

Pilgrim was released on the 19th of February 2021. 
Even though Thron hail from Germany their music is Swedish Black Metal at its finest. This albums has everything a great Swedish black metal band should have , aggressive vocals , lots of heavy solid  aggressive riffs , blast beat drums and lots of great descriptive aggressive sounding lyrics. 

If you are a fan of bands such as Marduk and many others you will love this album. My favourite tracks off of this album are 
The prophet
Nothingness
Hosanna in the highest 
Overall the album is fantastic and is definitely one of my top 5 favourite albums of this year so far. 

This album packs a solid punch from start to finish. The lyrics paint such a wonderfully dark image of Satanism , occultism and mythology. 
 
The unique vocal style adds a  eerie but special  sound  to this album. 

The quitar work is phenomenal on this album and is sure to have your head constantly moving. 

I highly recommend this album to anyone who just loves all types of black metal but especially Swedish black metal. 

I rate this album 4.8 out of 5.
