Vreid - Wild North West
Vreid are a Melodic Black Metal Band hailing from Norway.
Some of the former members of Windir formed this band.
Vreid's most recent album Wild North West is an 8 Track album with a duration of 46 minutes and it was released on April 30th 2021.
First of all I would like to say that I think this album of Vreid's has a very interesting concept.
However there were a few songs on this album that I am not particularly fond of.
Then again I'm not particularly fond of Melodic Black Metal either. I like my Black Metal aggressive , satanic and evil.
If you are the type of person who does like Melodic Black Metal then you will love this album.
Vreid's Wild North West album is full of melody, melodic guitars , both clear vocal and screaming so it is the perfect blend of melodic black metal.

These three tracks are the least melodic which is why they were standout tracks for me. Wolves at Sea is the perfect blend of aggressive and melodic to the point where the melodic side of it does not over shadow the aggressive parts.
Shaodws of Aurora starts of with a Bass Guitar scales which I find really interesting not many bands do that. Shadows of Aurora just has a really cool feel to it.
Spikes of God is just straight up aggressive Black Metal which is what I love.
Overall this album is pretty solid with the exception of a few tracks. With that said I wish I could give this album a higher rating but it had potential but did not reach expectations.
I rate this album a 3.5 out of 5
