Autumn Nostalgie - Ataraxia

Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the latest album by one man  post black metal project Autumn Nostalgie.

Autumn Nostalgie is a one man post black metal/ambient project from Slovakia.
Originally formed in 2010. Autumn Nostalgie has one previous release prior to this one which came out last year.

Ataraxia is the latest album by Slovakian Black Metal Solo Project Autumn Nostalgie. Now normally Post Black Metal is not my thing because as you all know I'm mostly a  Traditionalist When it come to Black Metal , However this album is certainly an exception.

Ataraxia's Atmosphere brings about the feeling of Bleakness imagine that you wake up one morning and everyone and everything is just gone and your the only one left in existence , also along with this very strong feeling of bleakness comes an entirely different feeling aswell one of Serene Calmness hence the title of the album.

When listening to this album I couldn't even smile because the feeling of Bleakness and Serene Calmness was so overwhelming and I felt it almost immediately. I absolutely loved the Autumn Nostalgie Mixed the Ambient parts with the black metal elements such a perfect balance.

Ataraxia features 7 Tracks and has a total duration of around 32 minutes.
Ataraxia was released on the 22nd October 2021.
Here is the tracklist as follows
1. Bevezetõ
2. Alámerülés
3. Memento Vivere
4. The Abyss Of Realization
5. The Dark Night Of The Soul
6. Ataraxia
7. Shadow Of Summer Trees

Now for the standout tracks on the album as follows:
3. Memento Vivere - This track is where I feel the sense of Bleakness and Serene Calmness are strongest. The placement of this track on the album i think was a great choice also.
4. The Abyss Of Realization - Another track where Bleakness and Serene Calmness are at its fullest. This would be my favourite track on the album.
2. Alámerülés - This is the first track on the album and is a great opening track as you get given a taste of what is to come.

The Intro and Outro tracks bring this hole album together and is what gives this album the perfect balance.
I really do love Autumn Nostalgie's Vocals aswell absolutely brilliant.

To have mixed together an album this elaborate by yourself is absolutely fantastic and very impressive it takes a lot skill to pull that off.
Overall I really enjoyed this album even though typically post black metal is not for me , however I cannot deny the amount of skill and talent Autumn Nostalgie has.
This album is definitely worth a listen.

I rate this album a 8.5/10
This has been my review of Autumn Nostalgie's Ataraxia.
Until Next Time HellHounds
