Noaidi - Runebomme
Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the Debut EP from Noaidi.
Noaidi is a one man black metal project hailing from Australia.
The name Noaidi comes from Scandinavian Tribalist Shamanism.
Runebomme is the Debut EP from Noaidi it features 6 tracks and has a total duration of around 28 minutes and was released on the 25th June 2021.
Noaidi brings us that classic 90s black metal sound we all know and love with Raw vocals , vicious guitars and lyrics filled with pure vengeance.
Runebomme has that classic 90s black metal atmosphere which leaves you feeling like a cold Motherfucker by the end of the EP.
The tracklist for Runebomme is as follows :
1. Communing with the ancient
2. Protecting the land of Sapmi
3. Kautokeino
4. Buolas jiehtanas
5. Endless Abysmal Hatred
6. Nohkat
I really love the great balance this EP brings.
Runebomme is the perfect EP for people who are traditionalists when it comes to Black Metal such as myself.
They will love how Raw this EP sounds.
I really think the cover art for the EP really tells and shows the listener what this EP is going to speak about before they even listen which I think is a great touch.
Runebomme is definitely a must listen for EPs of 2021.
Absolutely Ruthless Listen.
Standout tracks on Runebomme for me are as follows :
1. Communing with the ancient
2. Protecting the land of Sapmi
4. Buolas jiehtanas
Communing with the ancient is such a great track to open this EP with as it kicks off with ceremonial chants which really sets such a great atmosphere for the EP and let's the listener know what to expect.
Protecting the land of Sapmi is technically the first track as communing with the ancient has no vocals. Protecting the land of Sapmi is so Aggressive and Vengeful at this point you know your in for a fucking Brutal ride.
Buolas jiehtanas is probably my favourite track on the album as it just adds the icing to the cake.
I highly recommend this EP to anyone who love everything Black Metal.
I rate this EP a 9/10
This has been my review of Noaidi - Runebomme.
Until Next Time HellHounds
