Triacanthos - Apotheosis

Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the Debut album by USBM Band Triacanthos.

Triacanthos are a three piece Black Metal band hailing from Texas , United States.

With an EP under their belt previously Apotheosis is their Debut Album.

Triacanthos were originally formed in 2013. 

Apotheosis is a Complex album with many different elements attached so I will try my best to touch on as many of these elements as possible.

The sound of Apotheosis is very akin to bands such as Besatt and early Bethlehem and even a little early Emperor thrown in the mix.

Meldodic guitar riffs and screeching vocals gives this album such a eerie and sinister feeling.

Lyrics are heavily based on what is described as Luciferianism or Luciferian Philosophy. 

Which is quite similar to its brother philosophy Satanism. 

With song titles such as Morningstar, Apotheosis and Thaumiel ( extinguishing the holy light ) it certainly does paint that picture. 

Apotheosis has 10 tracks and a total duration of 49 minutes and 29 seconds.

Apotheosis was released on 30th September 2021.

Most songs on Apotheosis are under 5 minutes long except for two of the songs which are both just over 7 minutes long.

Triacanthos certainly do take you on one hell of journey with this album.

Apotheosis is the perfect balance or sinister absolutely eerie sounding Black Metal sung from the blackest abyss accompanied by Lyrics that paint the most beautiful ritualistic picture your mind as you are taken on journey through what it is like through the eyes of a Luciferian or Satanist. There is even some ceremonial Chanting through this album.

With all that in Mind Apotheosis is a Brilliant album and is one of my favourites of 2021.

I certainly do look forward to hearing more from Triacanthos.
