Wolves' Winter - Qayin Coronatvs
Hello HellHounds and Today we are reviewing the Debut full length album of Argentinean Black Metal Band Wolves' Winter.
Wolves' Winter are a Black Metal Band Hailing from Buenos Aires , Argentina.
Originally formed in 2008. Wolves' Winter have 1 live album 1 compilation album 2 EPs 2 Demos and 1 split to their name prior to this release , so with that said let's dive right into it.
Qayin Coronatvs is the Debut full length album by Wolves' Winter. This album has 13 tracks and a total duration of 1hr and 2 minutes.
Qayin Coronatvs was released on the 25th September 2021.
This is the longest album we have reviewed on HellHoundBlackMetalReviews but what an absolute fantastic album.
Qayin Coronatvs starts of with a very ritualistic intro called Consagration of Qayin I
Which i thought was a great way to open the album and perfect way to announce what is yet to come in the first half of the album.
In the first half of the album we have lots and lots of Blasturbation with the Drums which is absolutely perfect followed by some fantastic shredding and brutal guitar parts.
The first half of the album takes on a much more traditional sound to Black Metal which if you read my last post I mentioned that I am very much a traditionalist when it comes to Black Metal.
With this album being 1hr and 2minutes long im not going to go into every detail I'm just going to briefly touch on the main elements of the album.
Then we are plunged into part 2 of the album with yet another ritualistic intro called Consagration of Qayin II.
The second half of the album takes on a more melodic and atmospheric sound and direction.
The drums are no longer giving you that traditional Blasterbation and the guitars take on a more Melodic scale.
The Vocals however stay the same over both parts of the album keeping to that traditional Black Metal Vocal sound which makes my Black Little Heart ever so happy.
Here is the track list for the album as follows:
1. Consagration of Qayin I
2. Dethroning the fallen ancients.
3. Eclipsed by Fire
4. The Splendour Of Sulphurous Knowledge
5. Gnosis of the No - Light
6. Mallevs Maleficarvm
7. Consagration of Qayin II
8. Underneath the Drowned Stars
9. Ars Necromantia
10. Satvrnian Manifest
11. Conjuration
12. Consagration of Qayin III
13. Kuoleva Lupaus
I do urge you to give this album a listen it is one hell of an album that takes you on one hell of a journey and it just sounds fucking Brilliant.
This is a favourite of mine for 2021.
I rate this album an 8/10
This has been my review of Wolves' Winter - Qayin Coronatvs.
Until Next Time HellHounds
