Funeral Mist - Deiform
Funeral Mist is the secondary Black Metal Project by Current Marduk Lead Vocalist Daniel Rostén.
Daniel formed Funeral Mist in 1994 was playing bass up until 1996 where he became the bands leader and lead Vocalist. In 2004 he joined Marduk as lead vocalist.
I am so excited to be able to review This Album because Mortuus Era Marduk are my absolute favourite band of all time and I am a huge fan of Marduk and Mortuus in General.
So know that my gushing is out of the way let's get into it.
Deiform was released on the 17th of December 2021. Deiform features 7 Tracks and has a total duration of around 53 minutes and 58 seconds.

The whole album from start to finish is absolutely amazing.
All the Classic elements of Funeral Mist are very present throughout the whole album with plenty of Blasturbation and bombastic drums and plenty of Ruthless Guitar parts and riffs and Classic Funeral Mist Vocals Delivered with such Malice and Hostility.
Religious Themes of Satanism are rife throughout this album just like previous Funeral Mist albums However this album does take on a very noticiable Nihilistic Viewpoint more so towards the end of the album.
The Nihilistic Undertone becomes very apparent just after the track Children Of The Urn.
As with all Funeral Mist Albums Deiform is very complex so you may need to listen to it a few times to really understand what is trying to be put across.
I Absolutely loved this album and have already listened to it on repeat since it came out. Deiform has all of the things a Black Metal Head could Want.
Atmosphere, Spiteful and hostile vocals , Blast Beat Drums , and Ruthless and Brutal Guitar Riffs.
Deiform has all of these and utilises them with Perfect Balance
A truly wounderful album and is Already my Album of the Year.
There is not much more to say without me gushing lol so i'll leave it on this note.
