Ulvhedner - Legd

Hello HellHounds and Today we are stepping back in time a little bit because we have special request review. Today we will be reviewing the latest album by Ulvhedner.

Ulvhedner are a Black Metal/Folk Black Metal Band from the West Coast of Norway. Ulvhedner were formed in 1993 by Arild and Svein Terje. Ulvhedner have four original members plus two new members.

Legd was released on 20th December 2020.

Legd features 8 tracks and has a total duration of around 50 minutes and 45 seconds.

Each track on Legd has so much variation from the Vocals sounding different in each song to the variations in the guitar riffs drums and all other instuments. 

Legd also has a certain atmosphere which you can feel throughout the entirity of the album. 

Legd even features some clear vocal parts which almost sound like ceremonial chanting which I think is a fantastic feature on the album along with some of the reverb on certain tracks gives off the atmosphere or mood of being in a candlelit cave with thick fog.

Some solmn parts in the songs particularly in track 8 really bring that Folk element into the album plus the lyrics to certain songs being about some folklore tales. 

The amount of diversity in this album really make it stand out and although this album was not made in 2022 having heard this album has made the start of 2022 a very good one.

The tracks from track 1 to 8 are all of decent length none too short or too long.

There is never a boring or dull moment in this whole album and will have you noticing different things within in the songs the more times you listen to it.

Overall I really enjoyed this album and cannot recommend it enough. I highly suggest you check it out.
